Business Development Manager
Leading national membership organization for in-house agencies is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing the membership community by soliciting corporate marketers to join the association. This position also engages companies that provide goods and services to the in-house agency community—primarily selling them sponsorship packages as a way to underwrite the organization's in-person events. The ideal candidate for this position is committed to learning the business of the organization and the benefits it provides. By combining a deep understanding of the business with self-motivation and strong interpersonal skills (in person and over the phone), the Business Development Manager is accountable to meet specific sales goals to grow the membership base. A minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience, preferably in a sales position within a B2B environment is required. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills paired with planning abilities. Familiarity with advertising and marketing industry/ad agency model is a plus.
